Introduction:
What is the difference between Serialization and Encoding in WCF



Answer:
  The difference between Serialization and Encoding in WCF, given below

  applies to .net in general as well.

  For XML Serialization,Serialization defines how a given .NET object maps to XML

  But Encoding defines how the XML is written to a stream of bytes.

  Main types of serialization are XML or Binary

  while Main Encoding types are XML, Binary and Custom.
