Introduction:
So many times you are compelled to use a button inside the update panel that has to
so Response.Redirect to another page.This will normally give an error.

Main Content:

Ajax is designed for partial page update so if you will try to do Full post back

say use a button inside the update panel that has to do Response.Redirect to another

page it will give error.

So to fix this use trigger (not database trigger :) but update panel trigger.

Code is given as below:

<ajax:UpdatePanel ID="UpdatePanel2" runat="server">

<Triggers>

<ajax:PostBackTrigger ControlID="ButtonSend"  />

</Triggers>

<ContentTemplate>

protected void ButtonSend_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)

    {

       //do some work

        Response.Redirect("Letter.aspx");

    }

Conclusion:
This is one case when we can use trigger.
