How to read from socket for distributed java applications using java

  For reading from socket you need to generally import below two packages

  import java.io.*;

  import java.net.*;

  public class sampleClient

  {

    public static void main(String[] args)

     {  



        Socket sampleSocket = new Socket("machineName", PortNumber);

        //Here MachineName is valid machine name in the network

        BufferedReader sampleReader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(sampleSocket.getInputStream()));

        String sampleString;

        while ((str = sampleReader.readLine()) != null)

        {

           //code using sampleString;

        }

        sampleReader.close();

     }

  }

Conclusion:
